Madeira is a delicious sweet wine with a long history. This 5-year-old version is worth discovering. Amber in colour, it has aromas and flavours of smoke, raisin/fig, dried flowers, nuts and honey with spice and old wood notes. The palate is unctuous but with supporting acidity. Finish is long and warming. Try with dessert.
