Apera is the term for sherry-style wines that originate outside of Spain. Amber in colour, with pruny, nutty, figgy and grapey aroma. Sweet on the palate with pear and toffee flavours leading to a warm finish. Serve with cured meats and paté, blue cheese, chocolate-based desserts, vanilla ice cream.
